Bee Movie Game: Jerry on the Spot

As in all games based on cartoons, the aesthetic danger lies in falling short of the graphic standard set by the original. The Bee Movie Game looks, feels, and most important, sounds like the movie. When Barry B. Benson grows restless in his hive world, you are actually hearing Jerry Seinfeld voice the part. Read more
Beautiful Katamari: Roll On

Namco Bandai has come up with another strange winner. Beautiful Katamari on the Xbox is better than the one you’ve seen in PS2. Using the left and right analog sticks is easily mastered but lends itself to a load of fun. The whole enjoyment of this odd game is in the wacky objects you roll up with your Katamari as you gather mass and strength. With an out of the ordinary soundtrack, you will find yourself bouncing to the beat as Katamari rumbles into newer, stranger, and bigger environments. Read more

If you are not a Nickelodeon watcher, you will probably not be aware of this series. Avatar: The Last Airbender has been a popular children’s show and has been adapted to a video game (naturally.) The back story is not really necessary as this is a straightforward shoot-em up game that doesn’t delve into the reasons for any of the main characters’ actions. If you don’t expect too much complexity, The Burning Earth installment will be moderately pleasing. Read more
Armored Core 4: Stylin’

Mech games are usually all about the outfitting of the machines and the strategy for certain situations. Armored Core doesn’t skimp on the number of parts and weapons (SEGA says there are 200) that are available to you as you garner money from successful missions. You will then buy from a dizzying array of parts and armor and can keep them as a schematic that can be called up later. As you take on missions, you will begin to learn that specific armaments are useful and you must be outfitted beforehand. This is most of the fun of Armored Core 4. Read more
