Far Cry 2 For The Xbox 360 Game Review

November 2, 2008 | Filed Under Game Reviews | No Comments

The World is chaotic, nowadays, but Far Cry is by far more so. Armed militias, mercenaries and gunrunners, shady clients and paper thin alliances are what you will find here. All kinds of people are encountered during the course of the story. What you will find most striking in this game is the open world setting – the 50 square km of African landscape.

You will enjoy the sunset, but more importantly, you will enjoy first person combat in the open environ of this game. There is solid multiplayer action and the breadth of action will take your senses to a different plane. The map is huge and navigating from one place to another can be tedious.
There is great potential in the story. You play a mercenary sent to take out “The Jackal” who is a notorious arms dealer in Africa. You need to trace this elusive foe and it isn’t easy. Complicating the matter is the fact that you have malaria. You can choose from 12 potential buddies who you can befriend. The single player campaign is not the best out there, but it is not too bad.

This game gives you great freedom of choice and a variety of weapons to fight with. The game is stunning, visually. You could lose yourself in it for hours on end. Don’t miss it.
