Lost Planet: Extreme Condition For The Xbox 360 Game Review

Lost Planet: Extreme Condition is available from Capcom USA through Amazon.com at a price of $28.99. This game works on a great sci fi theme that is surprisingly entertaining. If you like blowing things up and shooting them off this one should be fun.

The story starts sometime in the distant future. New planets are being colonized by humans. There is some success in colonizing EDN III but soon, the Akrid, massive insect-like aliens prove to be a formidable enemy.

The Akrid are found to contain a thermal energy source within their bodies that could prove greatly useful. There is another enemy – snow pirates who are generally good at causing mayhem.

You get to play Wayne a snow pirate whose dad was killed by a large Akrid. What follows is a rather convoluted plot and strange characters, which do not succeed in derailing the game, because the action saves it.

There are many environs, situations and enemies to keep you occupied. The boss battles are particularly good. In addition there is a good range of weapons. The sound department is a bit dull though. This game can be played online and the points earned here can raise your level.

There are many shooters on the Xbox, but if you are a fan of the genre, this is one game that you should not miss. Recommended.
