Major League Baseball 2k8 For the Xbox 360 Game Review

Major League Baseball is available for the Xbox 360 through 2K8 Sports at a price of $49.99. This latest version is more that a mere roster update. With revamped fielding and a new pitching mechanic, in-game baseball cards can be used to create your own team!
2K8 punishes you if your pitching misses the spots; punishment is in the form of home runs. A red flash may indicate that you are about to throw a meatball. There are some great ideas in this game. If you strike out ate batters in a game, you unlock Randy Johnson and hitting two homers in a game earns you David Ortiz.
The game is not just about controls but also about strategy. Platinum, Gold and Black are the three types of card in the game. Playing higher difficulty gives you greater chances of earning a gold or platinum card.
When playing online with a card team, the starting pitcher of both teams is randomly selected. There is also a robust franchise model in this game. This is something stat geeks will love.
However there are many glitches and technical issues in this game. With a pitiful frame rate and terrible camera transitions, there is much to boo hoo about in this game. The clipping is often bad and so is the AI.
If you want to play just a few games or want to wind high difficulty games, you might like this one. If you are looking for finer points to enjoy, you will be disappointed. Recommended for hardcore baseball fans.
