Ninja Gaiden II For The Xbox 360 Game Review

June 6, 2008 | Filed Under Game Reviews |

Ninja Gaiden II sets new standards in adrenalin pumping excitement. This is one exhilarating game. You won’t find better action that Ninja Gaiden II on the Xbox. As you slice, dice, cut and chop your way through hosts of enemies, you will find your id completely satisfied. Your ego gets a high as well. Your superego.. lets forget about that one for a while.

Ninja Gaiden II is available at a price of $54.99 from makers Tecmo/Team Ninja. Some of the issues in the previous offering have been resolved in this one. Losing a boss battle no longer calls for going through lead-in gameplay, rather you can restart it at the start of the encounter. There are now ways to replenish your health.

The part where this game disappointed me was that it wasn’t the revolutionary leap I expected in the Ninja Gaiden series, though it is still fantastic. Ryu Hyabusa is back in this one as the man you have always loved to play.

Ninja Gaiden II is no easy game to master. The second half is tougher than the first. The middle third of the game is not as satisfying as the first and last third. With good cutscenes and heady action you will easily be able to ignore the visual deficits in this game. Recommended for action fans.
