Rock Band For Xbox 360 Game Review

This game is an offering from MTV Games and is available at a price of $58.99. If you have ever dreamed, like me of being a rock star, this is your chance to live out your fantasy. This is among the best party games I have played, and believe me I have played many.

For those who have enjoyed Guitar Hero, this game takes that enjoyment to a whole different level. The reason is this; Rock Band is not about a solo guitar, it is about a rock band - guitar, drums, bass and vocals. It is a cooperative effort. This is what brings the added excitement into the game.

You get to sing and play guitar through 40 rock hits. There are songs from KISS, Nirvana, Metallica, Foo Fighters, Black Sabbath, Rolling Stones, Rush and many more great rock bands. If you want to simulate their life this is your chance.

The only issue I found with this list of songs are that some of the songs are not playable simply because they are not easily recognisable. I think that will vary from person to person.

Another thing, this game simulates guitar playing, singing and drums in three distinct games. The guitar game is akin to Guitar Hero and in some ways but perhaps even better. The singing game is similar to SingStar. The drums game is the one I loved best. It is realistic and playing on it can actually improve your drumming skills.
