The Incredible Hulk for the Xbox 360 Game Review

This summer season around, Hollywood is all geared up to cash in on the craze for watching one’s comic book characters come alive on screen. The Box Office hits like The Dark Knight as well as Iron Man paving the way, it is now the turn of Marvel Comics’ goliath, The Incredible Hulk to hit the theaters.
Not surprisingly, following the trend these days, with a movie coming out a video game based on it must also tag along. Doing the rounds this time around, Hulk’s fiery temper reaches the gaming consoles kind courtesy Edge of Reality and Sega. The new Hulk follows in the wake of the earlier commercial winner, The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, 2005.
Even though it’s the next-generation Incredible Hulk with a different publisher and developer, one can’t help but feel that it is more or less Ultimate Destruction back after a makeover. The story line of the game draws upon salient themes from within the film. So there is Bruce Banner’s green, giant-sized alter ego ready to battle not just his old enemy, the Army and Abomination but joining the foe bandwagon this time are other villains from the Marvel series like Bi-Beast the android, the U-foes and the evil Enclave.
The action takes place in a scaled down version of NY City with familiar landmarks like the Apollo Theater and the Empire State Building. Also featured are landmarks from the comics like the office building of the Daily Bugle and Dr.Strange’s Sanctum Sanctorum. Priced at $56.99-$59.99, the games’ features include EDTV 480p Support, HDTV 720p Support, HDTV 1080p Support, widescreen 16:9 and Dolby 5.1 In-Game. Now that is one tasty package!
