The Simpsons Game for Xbox 360 Game Review

The Simpsons Game has an individuality about it that sets it apart from other titles with “Simpsons” in the name. The Simpsons has been a successful television series for almost two decades and has had an influence on popular culture. Now the same fantastic family has a video game of it’s own. The arcade game in the 90’s was something I enjoyed more but this is among the best video games with the Simpsons in it.
In fact this is one of the best video games that is derived from a television shown. If you have enjoyed the Simpsons series or the movie, you are likely to love The Simpsons Game. It spoofs the show a bit and like the series has a lot of clever wit in it. I would rate it as among the funniest games ever made.
There are parodies of some of the most popular games. The look and feel of The Simpsons Game is just like the show.
The problem with the game is in the mediocre game play. The gamep lay is decent but does not exceed standards. You get to play as the Simpsons family. You can switch between different Simpsons in the game. Each Simpson fights baddies in a novel way. Lisa fights them with her saxophone music!
Co-op play is available but it is not that exciting. Again the gameplay is a little repetitive. Overall, I would recommend this game for the production values and the fact that the look and feel of the series is brought out in it. A good game that does not exceed expectations, but atleast meets them. If you choose to buy The Simpsons Game, it will set you back by $59.99
