Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas For The Xbox 360 Game Review

February 9, 2008 | Filed Under Game Reviews | No Comments

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas is available for the Xbox 360 at a price of $29.99 from Ubisoft. In one sentence this is one of the best Xbox 360 tactical shooters there is. You get to be Logan Keller, an elite anti-terrorist team leader. The storyline starts with a Mexico operation going bad and terrorist strikes in Vegas.

The terrorists don’t want to stop there, they are after millions of lives. The plot takes a few snapshots out of other Ubisoft games, but the combat is brilliant. The tactical combat is never-seen-before. The action is intense. This is one game for action buffs to pleasure themselves on.

You can protect yourself from the hail of bullets with doorway edges, slot machines and anything else that can stop them. The transition from first person to third person is brilliant. The effect is cinematic.

Fights are usually with two teammates to help. With great artificial intelligence, this is usually not a problem. This game really makes you feel like an elite commando.

Rainbow Six Vegas is moderately challenging, and a little forgiving to errors which is thankful. If however you play the “realistic” difficulty level, the play is both difficult and high strung. There is a checkpoint save system so you do not have to start all over again when you die. You can enjoy this one in both single and competitive modes.

With a great storyline, impressive graphics as well as superb action and good voice acting, this is not a game action buffs should miss. Highly Recommended.
