Too Human For The Xbox 360 Game Review

Too Human is a game based on Norse mythology. The way the myth is twisted leaves much to be desired. Much of the potential in the game is wasted. This is true in about every aspect of Too Human. The elements of the game are not smooth flowing, they feel like they have been created separately and glued together.
The narrative is thin and disappointing. Norse mythology is mixed and mashed with cybernetics to creat this story. The gods are enhanced humans who protect them from Loki. Without much preamble, the story begins. Some unusual and interesting moments present themselves through Hel, Loki’s twisted, yet beautiful daughter.
The story last for about ten hours and consists of four missions. What you do in the missions is beat up mechanical monstrosities and then a boss. You spend time buying weapons as well. Interestingly, you also visit “cyberspace” via glistening pools. Here you learn new abilities which can be learnt here and here alone.
The fighting is enjoyable albeit with a lot of mayhem on the lines of Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden. When you die, which will happen plenty of times, you can start right back again at the point where you left off. The action isn’t smooth and addictive but the RPG side of this game is fun.
Overall this is not the best game out there, but if you are into Norse mythology, it might be made for you.
